Golden Snowflakes...

I've got another snowflake manicure to show you today because that is just about all that I want to do at the moment. I have been wearing OPI Ski Slope Sweetie solo for the past few days because I'm seriously in love with it. It is so beautiful and sparkly on it's own, but I finally decided to add some subtle nail art yesterday so I could enjoy wearing it for another day...

I refreshed the base by adding a fresh coat of OPI Ski Slope Sweetie to my existing manicure of the same. Now at four coats total it provides almost complete coverage with no visible nail line. I stamped various snowflakes from Winstonia plate W120 and Born Pretty Store plate QA58 using Maybelline Bold Gold...

I don't think I can ever have enough snowflake stamps. I love to mix and match them in my manicures...

The strong gold shimmer of Ski Slope Sweetie made this a VERY subtle design. The snowflakes were really best seen at the more indirect angles because when the gold shimmer flashed, the snowflakes disappeared. You can see in the photos where light is the brightest, the stamping just fades away. This manicure was really like a special little treat for me that most people couldn't see without close inspection...

Let me know what you think of this manicure in the comments below!

Thanks for looking!

    1. The base polish really does glow! It is such a beautiful gold sparkle that I have not gotten tired of it for days now and that's more than I can say about a lot of polishes! I'm so glad that you like it :)

  3. Love the ski slope but white doesn't suit my hands. Your addition of subtle golden Flakes makes this manicure for me. Lovely

    1. It is nice that it isn't a stark white. I would call it more pearly and with the gold shimmer, it goes mostly from gold to almost transparent! Really lovely and I'm so glad that you like it! Thank you :)

  6. Very pretty! Ski Slope Sweetie is a beauty on its own and I'm a big fan of subtle stamping, love how "personal" it feels :)

    1. Thank you so much! I have to agree, subtle stamping can be so beautiful and so personal. It doesn't always photograph as well as it looks in reality :)
